Doug Chapman Joins Etherstack
New York, US, 02 July 2008 - Doug Chapman has joined Etherstack North America to focus on the company's LMR trunked all-IP Core Network and Protocol Stack sales.
Doug joins Etherstack from Tait Radio Communications, where he was Tait North America’s V.P. Product Marketing. Doug is a veteran of the wireless communications community, with a career spanning more than 27 years and a variety of roles including Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering and Management. He has worked PMR on a worldwide basis with extended stays in the EU, Latin America and Pakistan. He has also authored several business cases focused on the emergence of data communications in the carrier market and has acted as a consultant to the cellular industry.
Doug joins Etherstack's North America team to support the strong growth of the company's P25 standards-based ISSI and CSSI compliant network product ranges. He says “The opportunity presented by joining Etherstack to facilitate the market's move towards a systems of systems architecture via enabling numerous LMR manufacturers to implement the ISSI interface, and driving open architecture by having a source for the CSSI protocol stacks for console vendors, is very satisfying. It is a step in my career to help achieve the intentions of the spirit of the P25 initiative.”
